Sticks the Jungle Badger

New Sonic character announced for the Sonic Boom universe! She's a cute little thing and she reminds me of Marine the Raccoon from Sonic Rush Adventure, the not-so-good follow up to the better Sonic Rush.

There was a little preview in the form of a session featuring her voice actor and she has some zany funny lines! It's almost reminiscent of Lola Bunny from the Loony Tunes sitcom show though that could be premature of me to say. Looking forward to seeing more about Sonic Boom soon.

Sonic Lost World Zelda dlc - how to find all three extra heart containers

1st is on one of the pillars you have to shimmy up in Hyrule Field.
2nd one you have to use the black bomb wisp item to blow up a crack in the floor of the cave. Hold the GamePad flat or else it'll roll away!
3rd one is further along the path in the cave.

This dlc was a nice weird tribute to Zelda. It's not as good as the Yoshi stage but it's cool to experience. The best part for me was "filipping" the Deku nuts back at the Scrubs.

Sonic Boom animation and video game trailers revealed

Have a look for these new trailers that have been doing the rounds today.

We knew the characters from their silhouettes but now we have their final forms. Knuckles isn't as drastically changed as I had imagined but he is much more buff now. I guess they decided to make it look more obvious that he's really strong in case anyone was guessing.

Characters' eyes look slightly different and well that's the general change otherwise. It's mostly slight. Robotnik doesn't look different and the latest voices are still there (Roger Craig Smith et al).

Not really freaking out about anything as I'm cool with the changes.

New Sonic game coming to Wii U and other consoles in 2015 (UPDATE: nope)

Just saw a picture of some Sonic news. Some of it is regarding the "revival" sounding Sonic Boom tv show that's coming out and some of it is about the game coming to Wii U in 2015.

I wonder if it's going to be a similar idea to the new Pac-Man tv show that's been doing the rounds in recent times.

UPDATE: It turns out this was all incorrect. Fucking hell SEGA, get it together.

Sonic Lost Worlds Demo for 3DS and Wii U out this week

Since I already have the Wii U version of the game I'll give the 3DS one a go :)

Sonic Lost World has quick loading times :D

I've been watching some videos of this game and I like the way there doesn't seem to be any loading times! Yes! Nice work already SEGA!

Still need all the info on the DLC situation though.

ALERT! Sonic Lost World bonus content is DLC only?

I just noticed something that sneaked past me in SEGA's marketing; it's the notion that the special edition of Sonic Lost World for Wii U may not have the bonus content on disc and available; it may be an exclusive download code.

I think I'll hold off on buying the game until I have the full story on this.

Puffy is going to be in Sonic Lost World!

I had no idea who she was until I saw her in the new trailer. Those large smiling lips, breasts, shoulders and eyes... she looks so beautiful!

She comes from the NiGHTS series and I never even noticed her until now.

Tails Adventure is finally out on Game Gear VC

Yay! I was looking forward to this and now I can get it.

I'll try and play it between the big long sessions of Animal Crossing: New Leaf I've been playing recently.

SEGA, please put Cream the Rabbit in more games

This is a selfish wish but come on! She's a rabbit! It makes sense for her to run fast! She doesn't have the big attitude the others have either and that makes her unique.

Maybe get rid of the Chao.

Many are seeing a Mario Galaxy influence here and I like that a lot! In fact I think this calls for the Charles Martinet soundbite "Welcome! Welcome new galaxy!".

But please please please let this be available as a packaged retail Wii U disc and 3DS Game Card!

Sonic Lost World's honeycomb-like picture

This was the one new game announced in Nintendo Direct that was the most interesting. We only have that one promo image so far. It looks like a common map you'd see in turn based strategy games but obviously it's not of that genre! I'm pretty excited about this because it's been a fairly long time since we had Sonic Colours and that was amazing. I hope that this new game will have the same sensibilities (e.g. no loading times etc)

I'd like Tails Adventure on the 3DS VC

This game came out on the Japanese 3DS VC recently and I'd like it to be made available for us soon. There aren't that many SEGA Game Gear titles on it at the moment so it'll be nice to look forward to this one.

Tried the Sonic racing transformed thingy demo

I can't recall the unwieldy title right now but it's the one on 3DS I tried. The racing is ok but unsmooth and laggy. The loading times are an absolute disgrace. It was bad with Naruto too.

Sonic Labyrinth is too expensive

5 Euro?! Yeesh. Get GG Shinobi instead... or at least first.

Sonic Labyrinth isn't the greatest Sonic game so you'd think they'd offer it at a cheaper price on the 3DS VC

Completed Sonic Triple Trouble for the first time! Final score.

Yay I beat this game for the first time! My final score at the end of the game was 312,900.

I enjoyed it quite a lot. There's a couple of hairy bits alright though and the water stages were every bit as unpleasant as you can expect them to be in a Sonic game.

I only won one of the chaos emeralds from Nack the Weasel so I know I can get a better score in future.

Sonic Triple Trouble is pretty good!

It's a bit weird, a bit off the wall but it's a fine Sonic game. My favourite feature is being able to turn into a ball in mid air, like say if you just bounced up from a springboard. It controls very nicely with the circle pad.

It's also at # 1 in the European eShop charts of recent bestsellers whereas the other Game Gear titles that launched in its service, Shinobi comes in at # 7 and Dragon Crystal comes in at #20. It's interesting too how Sonic's the most expensive of the three and Dragon Crystal is the cheapest.

SEGA Game Gear titles are on the 3DS Virtual Console in Ireland now!

I nabbed the Sonic Triple Trouble title, which is a nice fun bouncy game so far. Also playing with the Emulator features which are quite decent. The screen is quite big and it fills the 3DS' top screen quite nicely. You have an option for blur which is good silly fun. Also, customisable controls. I'm liking it a lot so far. Try it out for yourself!

Now I know why Sonic Generations wasn't on Wii

It has load times. Therefore, it's not good enough to be on the Wii at this stage.

My point is, after Sonic Colours being so brilliant to video game players by not making them wait for levels to start, this has to drag us back to the Dreamcast era.
