This is pretty funny and cool seeing the Reggie robot move around like the Terminator. Wonder if this "Play Nintendo" thing is gonna be a string of entertaining skits?

Reggie Fils-Aime is having a live Q&A Twitter session but you VOTE for questions
I thought for a moment it was about answering everyone's individual questions and I was even thinking up some of my own, but then I noticed every question is previously prepared with its own hashtag identifier and they're coupled into different categories where Tweeters do not ask their own questions but they have to vote by noisily responding with their preferred hashtags.
Why not just answer all the questions then?!
Urgh... of course... it's because it's a social media event.
Instead of a Q&A session, it's a democratic vote...
More like DUMBocratic. lol
ANYWAY... maybe something nice will come out of this noisy bit of noise.

The wrath of Reggie: a darkly comic Nintendo Direct edit
Nearly every site I browse has been posting this video and with good reason! I've spent the whole evening rewatching this and laughing my head off. Have a look:
Nooooooo! Bill! This all started out as harmless banter in the Nintendo Direct videos and I didn't even pick up on it. Not until now anyway, when someone made the whole thing sound really sinister from 40 seconds onwards. The added effects of dramatic movie music and the slow zooming camera literally gives you images of cement shoes! Immediately followed by a darkly absurd "rip in peace bill", all it can do is make you laugh!
This is right up there with that "Bill Clinton trying to kill Santa" joke. Editing sure is powerful stuff!

Reggie visits fans queueing for the Wii U launch!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jkaYNtD55-I
Isn't this nice! I really enjoy stuff like this. That Triforce guy wasn't there and I bet he regrets it. I kinda wish I was there so I could StreetPass Reggie's Mii. I wonder if it's a special one like Iwata that wears gold pants? I also would've shouted out during the "request a game from Reggie" part that I want Dragon Quest X and VII and Rocket Slime to come out in Europe!
Imagine if I went to a Wii U launch here in Ireland and Satoru Shibata appeared like this? It would be pretty cool to get his StreetPass too. If that really did happen I would go up to him and tell him that I bought Pokémon Typing and thought it was awesome. Then he would look me straight in the eye, shake my hand and say:
"You are a true Irish Nintendo Fan".
t'would be brilliant...

Wii U previews and Nintendo Directs
Each of the three big regions today had livestreaming events all about Wii U. The American one wasn't fantastic but the European one was very enjoyable and informative. I think that's because Reggie had an audience of game journalists whereas Satoru Shibata was presenting a Nintendo Direct so he was talking to us the fans and customers directly.
There were other factors that made it better and it had a much better effect on me; I was even starting to become interested in upcoming titles I wasn't previously interested in! That's powerful stuff right there.
I think Reggie should do a Nintendo Direct to summarise all the new information and trailers that have come out. Who knows, there might be a chance for more in the final days up until release.

This is why we're getting a new 2D Mario (conspiracy time!)
http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=169831
Have a look at the video at the above link. Reggie's talking about the Wii U yada yada Geoff Keighley is there yada yada there are a couple of glamourous looking women there yada yada but pay attention to what the lady on the left says.
She asks if Mario Bros is going to be on the system! Someone watching at Nintendo HQ must've then went "Hmm..." while stroking their chin and decided "Right! Develop a new 2D Mario!"
That's my made up story and I'm sticking to it!

Reggie's "What's wrong with you?" line
Nintendo of America has a new promotional show available to watch on the 3DS called "Nintendo Direct". In the first installment Reggie Fils Aime delivers a POW! effect with those four words. Sounds like something that'll prick your ears and possibly even rile you up right? Yeah! But when you listen to the whole sentence:
“For this first installment, we’ve got some important news if you’re an owner of Nintendo 3DS, or just thinking of becoming one. And really, if you’re neither one yet, what’s wrong with you?"
it makes it sound kind of diplomatic and therefore less exciting. It even makes sense, like as if to say "why are you even bothering to watch this video?" if you didn't come under the "owner or interested" criteria.

Reggie VS Geoff @ E3 2011
This is becoming a kind of pattern isn't it! There always seems to be something sparking between these two guys. I still maintain that Reggie is like Troy McClure and Geoff is like the inquisitive boy from the Simpsons. Sure it doesn't look that way at first but it ends up being that way since all the answers to the tough questions get delivered.
There are three parts to this interview and this is the first part:

Man they're well able to take each other on. I really enjoy Reggie. I don't talk about the man enough!

Reggie Fils Aime's banter with Geoff Keighley about 3DS
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/reggie-fils-aime-nintendo-3ds/710261
Have a look at this video. I think it's rather enjoyable. One thing I like to do is imagine that Geoff is acting the part of an average kid ignorant of all positive things about Nintendo and Reggie is playing the equivalent of Troy McClure in those Simpsons educational videos where he explains things that make the kid go "gee whiz!"
